Offering four charming conference venues, it’s an ideal place to foster creative and productive events. Conference facilities include flip chart, projector hire and sound system hire.


With its hanging chandeliers, dark wooden beams, white ceilings and royal blue walls, this conference venue opens onto a landscaped Bushveld garden. Doors on the opposite side conveniently open onto the roofed dining area where delegates can enjoy lunches and tea breaks.  Indaba seats 90 delegates cinema style and 40 delegates U-Shape.  The venue is perfect for medium to small workshops, seminars or conference dining and is the ideal breakaway room, and also doubles as a chapel.

Amazon Room

Adjoining the main building is the Amazon Room, am intimate yet welcoming venue (previously the Boardroom). While the deep green walls and golden ceiling gives warmth, it is the tasteful modern furniture, large glass doors and exquisite art pieces that ads vibrancy to this venue that seats 70 delegates cinema style and 30 delegates U-Shape. A brand new entrance has also been created for this space, with an impressive water feature that adds tranquility and serenity to the area.

Madala & Magogo

This impressive 240sqm hall boasts wooden floors, imposing chandeliers, luxurious bathrooms and high quality sound equipment. With its wooden stacking doors, the centre can be utilized as one large venue or divided into two smaller conference rooms. The venue boasts spacious bathrooms. The venue also has a covered verandah in front, which is ideal for tea breaks, social gatherings and more. It seats 200 delegates cinema style and 50 delegates U-Shape, while seating 100 delegates in double U-Shape style.

Glas Huis

The aptly named “Glas Huis” translates to Glass House. The venue with glass walls on all sides, caters for private functions, small conferences and wedding receptions.  This intimate space, which can accommodate 40 guests during a standing cocktail event or 60 seated, offers 360 degree views of the surrounding gardens, a deck beside a duck pond and an outdoor boma with fire pit. An indoor jet master fireplace keeps the venue warm during winter months.

Shangri-La’s theme evenings – encompassing creative Chinese, Mauritian, Out-of-Africa and traditional barbeque menus – are especially popular among conference delegates and Year End Functions.
